Making labels in Microsoft Word

To create labels for printing, you first need to create a mailing list with whichever voters and precincts you want.

Once you have your mailing list,

  1. Create a blank Word document.
  2. In the menu bar, select "Tools"
  3. In the drop down menu, select "Letters and Mailings"
  4. "Mail Merge Wizard..."
  5. Check the "Labels" radio button, and click "Next: Starting document"
  6. Click "Label Options". The box of labels will tell you which template to pick.
  7. Click "Next: Select recipients"
  8. Click "Browse", and open the mailing list file you created. Click OK.
  9. Click OK for "Mail Merge Recipients.", then click "Next: Arrange your labels"
  10. Select "Address Block", "Joshua Q Randall Jr", and click "match fields"
  11. Match the "Last Name", "Address", and "City" fields. Click OK.
  12. Click "Update All Labels" and click "Next" Your labels should now look good.
  13. Click next again, and then "print" or "edit individual labels" to finish.
